Português Italian Level 1
The first half of the textbook Io & l'italiano will be used to guide the course. Topics will include greetings and introductions, occupations and studies, the telephone, dates and times, asking for prices and travel information, personal details, language for use in bars and restaurants, making hotel reservations, banking and invitations. Grammar includes present tense, prepositions, adverbs, irregular verbs (venire, andare, sapere, essere, etc.), conjunctions, and articles.
Italian Level 2
This level begins with a review of the words and structures learned in level 1, and continues with Io & l'italiano. New topics include describing habits, visiting the doctor, describing the weather, discussing leisure activities, talking about one's family, asking for directions, shopping, eating out, explaining reasons, travel, plans, small talk. Grammar includes reflexive verbs, time adverbs, imperatives, prepositions, interjections, adverbs of frequency, possessives, piacere, dovere, and the past tense.
Payment and registration must be received before the registration deadline. Materials are included within the course tuition.
